Probiotics
I can go on and on about probiotics and how much I love them. Probiotics help balance the friendly bacteria in your digestive system. Things like antibiotics, food preservatives, pesticides, meat, dairy and chlorinated water all destroy good bacteria in the body. Even people with high stress will suffer from an imbalance of good gut bacteria. By taking probiotics, it is increasing the number of good bacteria which can detoxify your system and help you absorb nutrients more efficiently.
Oil Of Oregano comes from the leaves and shoots of the oregano plant. It is an effective natural antibiotic and anti-fungal. This oil contains compounds called phenols, terpenes and terpenoids, which have powerful antioxidant properties:
Carvacrol: The most abundant phenol in oregano oil. It has been shown to stop the growth of several different types of bacteria
Thymol: A natural antifungal that can also support the immune system and protect against toxins

Ashwaganda is an important herb in Indian Ayuvedic medicine. This powerful herb is know to fight inflammation and tumor growth. It has anti-cancer properties and can help reduce stress and anxiety.
Black Elderberry are fruit that come from the sambucus tree. Elderberry is know to have antioxidants and antiviral effects. High in vitamin c, phenolic acids, and flavonols, Studies have shown Elderberry to improve cold and flu symptoms.
Echinacea is a coneflower grown in the U.S. Studies have shown that it increases the number of white blood cells which fight infections.
Marjoram is an aromatic herb, and can be used for cooking and in aromatherapy in its essential oil form. Marjoram contains effective antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. It can help reduce your risk of the common cold, measles, mumps, influenza, food poising and various staph infections. You can make tea with Marjoram, which helps with digestive health. Marjoram also has anti-inflammatory effects.
Calendula flower can be used to prevent a range of problems. It can prevent muscle spasms, and reduce fever. Calendula has also been used for measles, small pox and jaundice. You can use calendula in an oil form and when applied to the skin, it can reduce pain and swelling (inflammation). You can also use calendula for diaper rash
Cayenne pepper benefits are numerous and effective!! It is used to help digestion, including healing upset stomach, slow intestinal gas, stop stomach pain, stop diarrhea and as a natural remedy for cramps. Cayenne pepper is full of beta-carotene and antioxidants that support your immune system. It aids in breaking up and moving congested mucus. It also provides detox support, by restoring the your circulatory system by opening the capillaries and regulating blood sugar.
Cinnamon my favorite spice!! It’s made from the inner bark from trees. Loaded with tons of antioxidants. Its anti-inflammatory properties help you fight infections and repair tissue damage. What I love most is you can add it to your smoothies, detox water and oatmeal just to name a few. There are two different types of cinnamon, cassia and Ceylon. Ceylon cinnamon is know as “true” or “real” cinnamon, it is harder to find. While cassia cinnamon is known as “fake” cinnamon and is more common on the market.
Ginger is a must have in my green juices!! Due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidants it helps reduce nausea, pain and inflammation. The phenolic compounds in ginger help digestion.
Turmeric is another favorite of mine! I love to make turmeric milk, masks, tea’s, detox drinks with turmeric. Curcumin is the main active ingredient which gives turmeric its golden color. As you can see the common theme is antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Which is essential to repairing the body and boosting the immune system!
Clove has been shown to have antimicrobial properties which means they can help stop the growth of microorganisms like bacteria! Clove has proven to help oral and liver health. Also, very high in antioxidants. You can use clove in toothpaste, add to water for coughs and cold, and tea.
Rosemary has many benefits! I love boiling this and making it into a tea and water for my hair. It has anti-inflammatory and cancer fighting properties. Also, full of antioxidants. It improves digestion, and its aroma can improve concentration. Rosemary has an ingredient called carnosic acid, which can fight of damage by free radicals in the brain. I like to get rosemary fresh from any organic market.
Thyme oil helps food borne bacterial infections and yeast infections
Sleep is very important. People don’t realize how essential getting rest is for immunity. When our bodies are sleep deprived it compromises our immune system. I know we have busy schedules and we work a lot, but we need to make our health a priority. So, make sure you get your beauty rest!
